The bond must list your business's legal entity name, specify your license classification, and be signed by an authorized surety company. The Licensing Program

The City of Gillette Building Division administers contractor licensing under Chapter 5 of the Gillette Municipal Code. HVAC contractors fall under the specialty trade classification.

To get licensed, your business must directly employ an active, full-time Master HVAC Technician or Master Gas Pipefitter as the Master of Record. This person must hold a current credential and pass the appropriate ICC examination — typically the G29-N National Standard Master Mechanical exam through Pearson VUE.

The specialty trade contractor fee is $150. Applications must be submitted at least a week before the Board of Examiners' monthly meeting — late submissions roll to the next month.
